On July 29, 2025, the 9th and 4th Expanded Council Meeting of the China Pen making Association was grandly held at the Platinum Hotel in Xi'an, Shaanxi. The theme of this conference is "Gathering Hearts, Inspiring the Future". Nearly 150 industry leaders, enterprise representatives, experts, scholars, directors, and member unit leaders from all over the country gathered together to explore new paths for high-quality development of the pen making industry.
The morning meeting was chaired by Mr. Wang Yuanhong, Vice Chairman of the China Pen Association and Chairman of Qingdao Dianshi Stationery Products Co., Ltd.
Zhang Zelong, Deputy General Manager of Shaanxi Yanchang middling coal Yulin Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yulin Energy and Chemical), first delivered a welcome speech, expressing a warm welcome to all leaders and representatives, introducing the development situation and prospects of Yulin Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd., and looking forward to working with pen making colleagues to create better products and help the high-quality development of pen making industry.
Ren Xiuying, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Pen making Association, delivered the "2024 Work Report of the China Pen making Association", which comprehensively reviewed the work achievements of the association in the past year, the difficulties and challenges faced by the industry, and proposed the work goals and development directions for 2025. The work report was successfully reviewed by the conference.The economic situation has put forward important suggestions such as promoting high-quality development and strengthening brand building, which provide direction for the future development of the pen making industry.
According to the agenda of the meeting, Zhang Zhenhua, Assistant Chairman and Director of the Membership Department of the China Pen Association, read out the association's announcement on the list of newly joined member units and the list of cancelled member unit qualifications. The association's leaders issued "Member Unit Certificates" to representatives of 17 new member enterprises in 2025; Feng Zhaoxue, Deputy Secretary General and Director of the Information Exhibition Department of the China Pen making Association, announced the list of "Top 10 Chinese Pen making Enterprises and Top 10 Chinese Pen making Equipment Enterprises in 2024", and the leaders of the association issued certificates to the Double Top 10 enterprises; Zhang Zhenhua, Director of the Membership Department, gave a report on the brand selection activity of the Chinese pen industry. Zhang Weidong, Deputy Secretary General and Director of the Comprehensive Business Department of the Chinese Pen Association, announced the list of selected brands in the first (2024) Chinese pen industry selection, and selected 30 selected brands from 27 enterprises. The leaders of the association issued certificates to them.
Zhu Zhe, Deputy Director of the Agriculture and Energy Industry Department of the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered an important speech at the meeting, emphasizing the support of national policies for the development of the pen making industry, encouraging enterprises to actively respond to the challenges of globalization and seize the opportunities of going global.
PwC partner Chen Chun gave a keynote speech on "New Challenges and Opportunities for Chinese Enterprises Going Global", providing valuable international development suggestions for the attendees.
The afternoon meeting was chaired by Mr. Zhang Hongyang, Vice Chairman of the China Pen Association and General Manager of China First Pencil Co., Ltd.
Mr. Zhu Jianfeng, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Shanghai Chengguang Stationery Co., Ltd., shared the successful experience of Chengguang brand's transformation towards youthfulness through innovation and IP empowerment with the title of "National Innovation&IP Chengguang Brand's Youthfulness Road"; Mr. Cai Liheng, Product R&D Engineer of Shaanxi Yanchang middling coal Yulin Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd., discussed the practical path of technology driven development around the "Firming the Three Chemical Business Strategy, Boosting the Innovation and Development of High end Special Polyolefin Applications"; Mr. Qiu Zhiming, Chairman of Beifa Group Co., Ltd., brings "Exploration of Industrial Upgrading in the AI Era" to showcase the achievements of AI technology empowering industry upgrading; Professor Xue Jian, Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, proposed a new approach to management upgrading from an academic and practical perspective, titled "Strategic Path for Management Upgrading in the Pen Industry under the New Economic Cycle and Collaborative Empowerment between Industry and Education".
Finally, the host Zhang Hongyang summarized the content of this conference and thanked all the guests for their wonderful sharing. The conference was rich in content, from brand innovation and technology strategy to AI empowerment and management upgrading, providing rich experience and inspiration for the development of the industry.
